Yes. Transplanted hair is taken from the donor area at the back of the scalp, which is genetically resistant to the hormone that causes pattern baldness. Once the grafts take root, the results are permanent. Dr. Taha will also discuss long-term care for your existing hair during consultation.

Graft count depends on your stage of hair loss, the area you want to cover, and the density you are aiming for. As a rough guide: hairline only 800–1,500 grafts; mid-scalp and crown 2,000–3,500; extensive baldness 3,500–5,000+. Dr. Taha assesses your scalp in person and gives an accurate estimate.

FUE is performed under local anaesthesia, so you should feel little to no pain during the procedure. Some mild soreness or tightness for a few days afterward is normal and manageable with prescribed medication. Most patients find FUE far more comfortable than they expected.

Most patients return to desk work within 2–3 days. Tiny scabs around grafts fall off within 7–10 days. Avoid strenuous exercise and direct sun for about 2 weeks. The donor and recipient areas are largely healed within 2–3 weeks with proper aftercare.

Transplanted hair typically sheds within the first 2–4 weeks — this is completely normal. New growth usually begins around 3–4 months, with visible improvement by 6–9 months. Full, mature results are generally seen 12–18 months after the procedure.

Yes. PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy after a hair transplant can improve graft survival, support faster healing, and boost thickness in both transplanted and existing hair.
